CHICAGO — Police are warning West Pullman residents to be vigilant after two homes were burglarized last week.

Just before 4 p.m. Thursday, two young men — described as black, between the ages of 16 and 20 — broke into a house in the 200 block of West 117th Street, police said.

The burglars forced open a window, but quickly ran away when a house alarm sounded. An in-home security system snapped photos of one of the men.

Earlier that day, flat-screen TVs were stolen from another house in the same block. Sometime between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., the thieves pushed through a window-unit air conditioner to enter the home, police said.

One of the men has short black hair and a medium complexion. He was wearing a white T-shirt. The other had an afro, possibly with blond highlights. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt.

Police ask anyone with information to contact Area South detectives at 312-747-8273.
