California Man Who Went Missing in Northwest Side May Be Armed

CHICAGO — Police are searching for a man who went missing in the Forest Glen neighborhood Wednesday night who might be armed with a revolver.

Thomas Moyer, a California man who was visiting family for the week, went missing about 10 p.m. in the 6600 block of North Loleta Avenue, police said.

Moyer, who family says is suffering from depression and mental health issues, may have a Smith & Wesson blue-steel revolver, police said.

He is about 5-foot-9 tall, weighs 170 pounds, has brown eyes and hair and is 43 years old.

Moyer might be wearing a green and gray shirt, khaki cargo pants, a wedding ring and black watch.

He also might be carrying a California state ID.
