CHICAGO — A teenager was stabbed in West Englewood Tuesday night, officials said.
The 15-year-old boy was stabbed about 8:20 p.m. in the 7000 block of South Winchester Avenue, said Officer Jose Estrada, police spokesman.
The boy was physically fighting with a woman in the street when another woman came up to him and stabbed him in the back before running away, Estrada said.
The boy was taken to Comer Children's Hospital in stable condition, Estrada said.
The boy did not appear to know the girl who stabbed him. No one was in custody as of Wednesday afternoon, police said.
