WICKER PARK — More Divvy stations are coming to the Wicker Park area this week, the city says.

The 3-week-old, fee-based bike-sharing program is adding stations at:

• 1451 N. Claremont Avenue

• Leavitt Street and Milwaukee Avenue

• Western Avenue and Winnebago Street

• Damen Avenue and Division Street

• Damen Avenue and Augusta Blvd.

Currently, there are area stations at: 2002 W. Pierce Ave., 1802 W. Division St., 1611 N. Marshfield Ave., 1639 W. Armitage Ave.,  1611 W. Augusta Blvd., 1016 N. Noble St.,  811 N. Noble St. and a recently relocated station at Milwaukee Avenue and Wood Street.

The bike-share program citywide has already shown strong numbers since launching on June 28, and now boasts more than 3,000 members.

The city also announced that Divvy was the busiest bike-share program in the world on Saturday, based on percentage of bikes in use.

All told, Divvy hopes to have 300 stations and 3,000 bikes up and running by the end of the summer, and 4,000 bikes at 400 stations by next spring.
