CHICAGO — An adult woman's body was found in an advanced state of decomposition in an abandoned factory Tuesday, authorities said.
The woman's body was discovered just before 2 p.m. in the 4600 block of West Arthington Street in West Garfield Park, police said.
She was pronounced dead at 3:55 p.m. The woman's age and identity were unable to be determined as of Tuesday evening, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
The case is proceeding as a death investigation, police said.
