CHICAGO — A 38-year-old man is in critical condition after he was hit by a car in Jefferson Park early Monday, authorities said.
The man was struck about 1 a.m. in the 5200 block of North Loring Avenue, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police Department spokesman. Detectives are investigating claims that the man was intentionally run down.
He was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where he was in critical condition Monday morning.
Police did not confirm the man's age, but Chicago Fire Department officials said he was 38 years old.
No suspects were in custody Monday morning, Estrada said.
