CHICAGO — A firefighter suffered minor injuries while responding to a Montclare neighborhood blaze early Wednesday, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

The fire started on the first floor of a three-story building in the 3000 block of North Harlem Avenue sometime before 12:35 a.m., according to the fire department.

While on the scene, a firefighter fell and was taken to a local hospital in good condition, the fire department said. Six others refused treatment.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
