CHICAGO — Three women were stabbed with a box cutter after a fight broke out in the Hermosa neighborhood Monday evening, police said.

The women were involved in a street fight in the 1900 block of North Karlov Avenue when a 29-year-old woman took out a box cutter and stabbed them, said Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokeswoman. The stabbing happened about 5:15 p.m., Estrada said.

A 29-year-old woman and a 31-year-old woman were taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, while a 36-year-old woman was taken to Norwegian American Hospital in "stable" condition, Estrada said.

The woman who stabbed them is in custody with charges pending, Estrada said.
