CHICAGO — Two men were charged with illegal gun possession Saturday after cops picked them up for harassing women near a Wicker Park nightclub.

Just before 3 a.m. Saturday, police received complaints that two men were making inappropriate comments to women outside OHM, 1958 N. North Ave., according to police sources. The men suggested they had weapons.

When officers responded, they found the men — Francisco Gonzalez, 27, and Roberto Vazquez, 28 — exiting an SUV.

During a street stop that followed, Gonzalez tried to flee and hit a police officer, police sources said.

Gonzalez elbowed the officer in the head and face, causing bruises, according to police documents.

Officers were able to arrest Gonzalez, who was carrying a loaded handgun, they said.

Gonzalez, who lives in the 800 block of North Fairfield Ave, was charged with one felony count of aggravated battery to a peace officer, one felony count of unlawful use of a weapon, one misdemeanor count of possession of a firearm without valid ID and one misdemeanor count of possession of ammunition without valid ID.

Police also arrested Vazquez when they found a loaded handgun in his SUV. Vazquez also had a 12-ounce can of beer in his hand, according to police documents.

Vazquez, who lives in the 3900 block of West Wrightwood Ave, was charged with four misdemeanor counts: unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a firearm without valid ID, possession of ammunition without valid ID and drinking on the public way.

Cook County Judge Adam Bourgeois Jr. ordered Gonzalez held on a $300,000 bail and Vazquez on a $5,000 bail.
