AVALON PARK — A child was taken to Jackson Park Hospital after possibly drowning at a South Side pool Saturday evening, officials said.
About 7 p.m., paramedics were called to the Avalon Park pool near East 83rd Street and South Avalon Avenue, according to the Chicago Fire Department. Responders performed CPR on an 11-year-old child and transported the child to Jackson Park Hospital.
