CHICAGO — A teen boy's body was found decomposed and with a bullet wound in his head in West Englewood Wednesday, officials said.

The boy was found behind an abandoned house in the 5600 block of South Damen Avenue, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

He was identified as Darryl Green of the 6400 block of South Wolcott Avenue.

Green was pronounced dead on the scene at 12:45 p.m., a spokesman said.

Police were called to the scene at 11 a.m., and reported the boy's body found in the 6500 block of South Damen Avenue.

The case was being pursued as a death investigation, police said.
