CHICAGO — One man is dead and four people, including a 17-year-old boy, were shot in four separate shootings citywide since Tuesday evening.

At 9:20 a.m. in the 8700 block of West Throop Street in Auburn Gresham, a 39-year-old man was shot fatally in his head outside of his family home, said Officer John Mirabelli, a police spokesman.

He was found by police dead in a church parking lot.

About 12:50 a.m. in the 1400 block of South Ridgeway Avenue, a shooter fired into a group, said Officer Ron Gaines, a police spokesman.

A 32-year-old woman was in critical condition after being shot in her neck, while a 42-year-old man was seriously injured in his stomach. Both were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital.

About 11:45 p.m. in West Englewood, a 17-year-old standing on a corner in the 6600 block of South Paulina Street took a bullet in his foot when two gunmen shot in his direction, Gaines said.

The boy was sent to St. Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center, where he was listed in good condition.

Back in North Lawndale, a 20-year-old man was shot in his groin about 5:35 p.m. in the 1600 block of South Komensky, Gaines said.

No one was in custody for any of the shootings.
