UPTOWN — Uptown is going electronic this weekend.
The Wavefront Music Festival scheduled to hit Montrose Beach Friday to Sunday returns for a second year of what has quickly become one of the city's most anticipated electronic dance music fests.
Electronic heavyweights Diplo, Fatboy Slim and Rusko are three of the better-known acts slated to have festival-goers grooving in the sand this Independence Day weekend — but they are just a few of more than 100 acts expected on four stages at Wavefront 2013.
Each day of the three-day festival will be capped by a fireworks show, according to the festival website.
Tickets are $79.99 for a one-day general admission ticket or $219.99 for a three-day pass. Headliners include Rusko, Fatboy Slim, and Laura Jones.
