ROGERS PARK — If one celebration isn't enough for you on Sunday, when the Chicago Pride Parade takes over Lakeview, Rogers Park will be the place to be.

The second annual Pride North block party kicks off at 4 p.m. Sunday on Glenwood Avenue between Morse and Lunt avenues.

Music, booze and even more celebrations will meet returning parade-goers.

And just around the corner, the former publisher of the now-defunct Gay Chicago Magazine, Craig Gernhardt, plans to show off the publication's archive of more than 40 years of Chicago Pride Parades at Chuckie's, 1412 W. Morse Ave.

Last year's Pride North party attracted 3,000 revelers, according to organizer and sponsor the Glenwood Bar.

This year, Chicago's very own Sixteen Candles will be performing at 6 p.m.

Ald. Joe Moore (49th) also invites his constituents to march alongside him in the parade.

Meet at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, June 30, on Montrose Avenue between Racine and Clifton avenues at position number 41. Be sure to RSVP with the alderman's office by calling (773) 973-4949.
