
WEST RIDGE — A man tore through a screen on the back door of a home and sexually assaulted a woman in her bedroom about 4 a.m. on Father's Day, according to an alert from the Chicago Police Department.
The suspect tried to rob the woman before shoving her into a closet and fleeing the scene, near Albion and Fairfield avenues, according to the alert.
Police describe the man as Hispanic with a heavy build, between 25 and 30 years old and about 6 feet tall. The suspect speaks with an accent and has a tattoo on his right forearm, police said.
He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with red accents and dark-colored pants.
