CHICAGO — If you’re one of the millions of people planning to don Chicago Blackhawks gear and support the team during Friday’s parade and rally, the White Sox are hoping you’ll continue the party at U.S. Cellular Field.
Fans wearing Hawks gear can buy $15 outfield tickets for Friday’s doubleheader against the Cleveland Indians — just head to any ticket window outside the ballpark to claim the discounted tickets.
It's roughly a half-price deal.
The first pitch is set for 4:10 p.m., which allows plenty of time to get to the South Side after the 11 a.m. Hawks rally wraps up.
The doubleheader concludes with a fireworks display.
“We know there are going to be millions of people celebrating the Blackhawks in downtown Chicago on Friday,” White Sox team spokesman Brooks Boyer said in a statement. “Following the rally in Grant Park, we are inviting fans to continue the celebration at U.S. Cellular Field by taking in two baseball games and one of our fireworks shows.”
Fans planning to take advantage of the offer and South Siders heading to the festivities can park outside The Cell for $20 and take public transportation downtown for the parade. Lot A opens at 6 a.m.
