CHICAGO — Nine special needs kids were among 11 taken to hospitals Monday after a minor Roseland crash, Chicago Fire Department officials said.

A van carrying special needs children and another car collided at low speed at West 111th Street and South Wentworth Avenue, Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford said. Police said the crash happened about 8:45 a.m.

Nine kids were taken to hospitals in good condition as a precautionary measure, and they showed no signs of injury, Langford said. Two adults were taken to hospitals in "stable" condition, he said.

Further details about the crash were not immediately available.
