CHICAGO — A death investigation is underway after a 40-year-old man was found dead on train tracks in Austin Sunday night.
Police received a call about 10:15 p.m. that a man was on tracks in the 800 block of North Kenton Avenue, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a police spokesman.
Juan Bahena, 40, whose home address was unknown, was pronounced dead at the morgue at 1 a.m. Monday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
Investigators said Bahena was struck by a freight train. An autopsy is slated for Monday night.
