CHICAGO — Police are warning West Side residents of a recent spike in armed robberies.
During the robberies, men show guns and demand the victims turn over their personal property, according to a community alert.
A robbery occurred about 2:50 a.m. on June 1 in the 2500 block of West Thomas Street. Another occurred about 5:15 a.m. on June 1 in the 1000 block of North Francisco Street, polie said.
A third robbery occurred about 12:26 a.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of North Honore Street, the alert said.
