CHICAGO — First lady Michelle Obama plans to talk to Harper High School students again during their visit to Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, the White House said.
Obama is scheduled to privately meet with the students in the capital in the afternoon.
Obama spoke with the Englewood students in April after giving an impassioned talk about violence in Chicago earlier that day.
The troubled school became the subject of a two-part series from WBEZ's "This American Life" after 29 Harper students were shot in Chicago last year.
After Obama visited the students on April 10, junior Cazmere Henderson told DNAinfo Chicago that the first lady was working to help bring them to the capital.
"I've never been to Washington, D.C., and can't wait to go." Henderson had said.
