CHICAGO — Authorities are investigating the death of a 4-month-old boy found in a Far South Side home on Sunday.

Jayceon Alcorn was found unresponsive in his Pullman home in the 9800 block of South Drexel Avenue, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

He was taken to Trinity Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:23 a.m.

His mother is being investigated for neglect, Illinois Department of Children and Family Services spokesman Dave Clarkin said. DCFS had prior contact with the family based on "unrelated allegations of neglect" in May 2010, Clarkin said.

Police said no one was charged in the baby's death as of Monday morning. Cops are conducting a death investigation and declined to give further details. An autopsy on the boy had not been completed as of early Monday afternoon.
