BRIGHTON PARK — Police recovered $500,000 of contraband chocolate, booze and more during a  raid on a South Side warehouse Saturday.

The stolen merchandise was found as the police department's Intelligence Section and Illinois State Police conducted a search warrant in a warehouse in the 2600 block of West 35th Street, police said in a statement.

Among the stolen items: $150,000 of Ghiradelli chocolate, $175,000 of top-shelf liquor products, a pallet of BMW car parts and several pallets of cement garden water fountains, police said.

Officers then recovered two semi-tractors, three full-length tractors, a cargo truck and a cargo van from the parking lot outside the warehouse.

No one is in custody, and the investigation is ongoing said Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.
