LAKEVIEW — Don't be surprised to see a wave of white in Lakeview next week.
The parking lot of MB Financial Bank, 3179 N. Clark St., is going to be transformed into a "white party" for Central Lakeview Merchants Associations' first Couples Night — white tents, white flowers, white candles and 100 people wearing white.
The event on June 3 is intended to feature some of the neighborhood's more "upscale" restaurants, said Gus Isacson, executive director of the association.
Tickets cost $95 per couple and include food from Italian restaurant Mia Francesca, Mediterranean-inspired Socca, steakhouse Select Cut and Japanese-fusion Yoshi's Cafe, with wine from Paired.
With limited outdoor space in Lakeview, transforming the parking lot works perfectly — and the color white will bring some added class, Isacson said.
White, he said, "is a barometer of a better restaurant or better event."
