CHICAGO — A North Lawndale woman has died, eight days after being shot in the neck, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said.

Quintana Love, 27, of the 1300 block of South Tripp Avenue, was pronounced dead at 12:35 Saturday afternoon at Mt. Sinai Hospital.

She was one of three people shot last Friday in a vacant lot in the 1200 block of South Kolin Avenue. Police said shooters fired at them from a nearby alley about 11:25 p.m. that night.

After the attackers fled on foot, police found three assault weapons nearby. They also found a van in the 1200 block of South Kostner Avenue believed to have belonged to the attackers.

Love was shot in her neck and face and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in extremely critical condition.

A 38-year-old man standing with Love was shot in his back and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, according to Sgt. Antoinette Ursitti, a police spokeswoman. A 38-year-old woman was also treated at Mount Sinai for a gunshot wound in her right arm.

Ursitti said no one was in custody in connection with the shootings as of late Saturday.
