CHICAGO — A teenage boy was found fatally shot in Back of the Yards Tuesday, officials said.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired about 5:20 p.m. in the 4300 block of South Paulina Street, police said.

They found the 16-year-old boy in an alley with a gunshot wound in his head, police said.

The boy was identified as Angel Cano, of the 2200 block of West 50th Place, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. He was pronounced dead at 5:35 p.m.

No one was in custody as of Tuesday night, police said.

In an unrelated shooting in West Pullman, a 30-year-old man was shot in his leg when a gunman emerged from a vehicle and fired at him about 9:45 p.m. in the 500 block of West 119th Street.

The victim was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was listed in "stable" condition, according to Officer Amina Greer, a police spokeswoman.
