CHICAGO — One man was killed and nine others were wounded in shootings across the city Wednesday night, police said.

Ricky Robertson, 47, was gunned down while riding his bicycle in the Washington Heights neighborhood, authorities said.

Robertson was riding his bike northbound on the 12000 block of South Green Street about 8:30 p.m. when shots were fired from a nearby car, according to Officer John Mirabelli, a police spokesman.

Robertson was hit multiple times and was pronounced dead on the scene about 10:20 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

No one was in custody as of early Thursday morning, Mirabelli said.

About the same time, a man was shot in the city's Lawndale neighborhood.

A 25-year-old man was shot in his mouth at 8:25 p.m. in the 3900 block of West Flournoy Street, according to Officer Ron Gaines, a police spokesman.

The man was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where his condition stabilized, Gaines said. Police said the shooting might have been gang-related.

About an hour later, a teenager was shot a few blocks south in Lawndale.

The 16-year-old was on the sidewalk in the 1600 block of South Millard Avenue about 9:45 p.m. when a gunman approached him and opened fire, Gaines said. The teen was hit multiple times and was in critical condition at Mt. Sinai, Gaines said.

Police said one person is in custody in relation to the shooting.

Police said a 27-year-old man was shot during the course of a robbery on the Southwest Side.

The man was shot in his right thigh about 9:45 p.m. in the 4600 block of South Cicero Avenue and was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Gaines said.

A 21-year-old man was shot about 10:25 p.m. in the city's Logan Square neighborhood. Gaines said the man was shot in his shoulder and was in good condition.

Gaines said one person was in custody Thursday morning after the shooting.

Shortly after midnight Thursday, a 19-year-old woman suffered a graze wound in her leg after shots were fired in the 100 block of West 124th Street, police said.

The woman was treated at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and released, Gaines said.

Earlier Wednesday evening, four men were hurt around the same time in two separate shootings.

About 6 p.m. Wednesday, two men were shot in the 7000 block of South Talman Avenue in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood.

A 31-year-old man was shot in his forearm and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital where his condition has stabilized, Gaines said. The other man, a 22-year-old, was shot in his back and was later taken to Christ, where his condition also stabilized, Gaines said.

Also about 6 p.m., two other men were shot in the 2400 block of West 72nd Street, police said.

The 19-year-old man was shot in his right thigh, and the 22-year-old man was shot in his right leg, cops said. Both were in stable condition at Christ, police said.
