CHICAGO — Police arrested two men and recovered more than $100,000 worth of heroin In a South Side drug bust Tuesday, officials said.

Jeffery Watson, 44, of the 200 block of East 32nd Street, and Albert Askew, 61, of the 400 block of East 80th Street, were each charged with one felony count of possession of more than 900 grams of heroin.

Police saw Askew take a package they suspected contained heroin from the 400 block of East 80th Street to the 7800 block of South Calumet Avenue, where he met Watson, police said.

Askew put the package in a black pickup truck driven by Watson. Officers later pulled over the truck, arrested the two men and seized the drugs with a search warrant, a statement said.

Police seized the truck, over 1,000 grams of heroin worth more than $100,000 and over $1,500 in cash, cops said.
