WICKER PARK — It's official: the "hipster' alderman" is about to be hitched.

Ald. Joe Moreno (1st) announced on his Facebook page Friday that later in the day he will be getting married "to the most inspiring, beautiful and opinioned person I've ever known. She brings out the best in me, and every day I feel lucky to know her."

Moreno is marrying Celena Roldan, executive director of Erie Neighborhood House, a nonprofit organization in West Town that provides education and housing programs to area families and youths.

According to Moreno spokesman Matt Bailey, the couple — who've been engaged for just over a year — met each other through attending neighborhood events and began dating shortly after Moreno was elected as alderman in February 2011.

The marriage is the second for Moreno and first for Roldan. Roldan has a son, Joseph, 10, and Moreno has a daughter, Ava, 9.

The 41-year-old alderman has lived in Wicker Park for 16 years.

According to Bailey, the beachside ceremony in the island town of Vieques, Puerto Rico, will be attended by more than 100 people.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds plan to honeymoon in Puerto Rico for a week, Bailey said.

The alderman is scheduled to return to Chicago May 10.
