CHICAGO — A 17-year-old boy was charged with touching two girls inappropriately during a morning Red Line ride in April, police said.
He was charged with three misdemeanor counts of battery, police said.
His identity wasn't made public because he will be tried as a juvenile, police said.
Earlier this week, police released a community alert saying a male approached two girls in separate incidents about 7 a.m. April 11 in a Red Line train car.
He touched their legs "inappropriately" while also trying to put his arm around them, according to the alert.
Both girls escaped from the train, and the suspect fled too, police said.
