CHICAGO — Police issued a community alert warning residents of Chicago Lawn about recent armed robberies and carjackings.

In the incidents, one man pulls a gun on a victim while at least one other man acts as lookout or a driver, according to the alert. The men take items and sometimes cars, cops said.

The latest incident took place on Monday about 3:10 a.m. in the 2200 Block of West 63rd Street, according to the alert.

Before that, robberies happened in the 6100 block of South Artesian Avenue on April 27 about 8 a.m. and in the 6100 block of South Campbell Avenue on April 7 about 1:25 a.m.

The robbers are described in the alert as two to three black men between 18 and 24 years old, 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-8 and weighing 160 to 190 pounds.
