CHICAGO — Police warned Near North Side businesses of burglaries that happened overnight Tuesday and earlier this month.

Two businesses in the first block of East Elm Street in the Gold Coast were broken into and robbed sometime between 7 p.m. on Tuesday to 9 a.m. the next day, cops said in a community alert.

Earlier, at least one other business was burglarized in the same block during overnight hours from April 17-18, according to the statement.

The stores were closed during the burglaries, police said. Descriptions of the burglars were not available.

Police asked anyone with information about the burglaries to call 312-747-8384.
