LOGAN SQUARE — For the third year in a row, the Pilsen-based record label, Numero Group, will "pop up" with a retail outlet to commemorate Record Store Day, and this year's store will be in Logan Square.

Numero Group, which specializes in re-releasing classic soul and folk tracks, will house its one-day shop in the multidisciplinary arts space Comfort Station Logan Square, 2579 N. Milwaukee Ave., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

"While last year's bonanza found us occupying the Empty Bottle's 3,000 square feet, we've opted for a smaller and more low-key space this year," Numero Group's management wrote in a press release for the event.

"Last year's event was a massive success, but also a massive headache," the statement continues. "We're hoping this cozier space leads to a more enjoyable experience for both Numero and our customers."

The first year's pop-up store was at the Stop Smiling storefront in Wicker Park.

This year's store will be stocked with every Numero release, plus a few "exclusive" Record Store Day items, the release said.

Record Store Day has been celebrated the third Saturday of April since 2007 "as a way to celebrate and spread the word about the unique culture surrounding over 700 independently owned record stores in the U.S. and thousands of similar stores internationally," according to the official Record Store Day website.
