GOLD COAST — Two cars collided on Lake Shore Drive Tuesday afternoon, leaving traffic slowed in the southbound lanes.
Two cars were involved in an accident about 1:49 p.m. near North Avenue, police said based on preliminary information.
One child was taken to Lurie Children's Hospital in good condition, a fire spokesman said.
A fire truck blocked all southbound lanes of traffic after the accident, but all lanes were open again as of 2:30 p.m.
