CHICAGO — A man suffered a graze wound after he was shot in a drive-by on the North Side Sunday morning, police said.

The 30-year-old man was in a pickup truck with a woman in the 900 block of North Ashland Avenue about 5:15 a.m. when someone in an SUV pulled up alongside him and fired shots into the truck, said Officer John Mirabelli, a police spokesman.

The man suffered a graze wound on his left side and refused medical attention, Mirabelli said. No one else was injured, and no one is in custody for the shooting.

Police believe the shooter and victim both have gang affiliations, Mirabelli said.
