CHICAGO — Tom Hanks' son Chester has lived just north of Chicago, in Evanston, for the last four years, primarily to attend Northwestern University.
But between classes, the fourth-year theater major has been working on his singing career, releasing four videos and a series of recordings that will make up an EP he plans to release this fall.
On Thursday, Hanks, who performs under the name "Chet Haze," released his latest video, "Finest Girl," which he shot in New York City on his winter break, according to his manager and fraternity brother, fellow Northwestern senior Briggs Goldberg.
"This video shows that Chet is truly a dynamic young artist," Goldberg said Thursday, describing the song as a new twist on "pop."
"'Finest Girl' is sure to resonate with people who appreciate great music," he said.
