LAKEVIEW — Uncle Fatty's Rum Resort out, Headquarters Beercade in.

Owners of the Lakeview bars decided to shutter Uncle Fatty's and expand Headquarters Beercade, a bar with arcade games, to put in a pinball arcade by late May, according to a release.

Brian Galati, Mark Kwiatkoswki and Chireal Jordan are running the endeavor as Capacity Bar Group.

Uncle Fatty's will officially close May 4 after five years at 2833 N. Sheffield. The tiki-themed bar got press in 2011 for planning a "Osama bin Laden is Rot'n" party after the terrorist's death with drinks like "The Floating Terrorist" and "Osama Been Shot." It canceled it after receiving flack.

Headquarters Beercade, which opened in the fall at 950 W. Wolfram St., will grow 7,000 square feet into the old Uncle Fatty's space. It will offer 20 to 25 pinball games made by Illinois company Stern Pinball, Inc.

“We wanted to expand upon the success of Headquarters Beercade and offer another unique outlet for nightlife and entertainment in Chicago,” Jordan said in a statement.
