
CHICAGO — Columbia College's Dance Center announced a Tony-Award-winning choreographer and one of Asia's leading dance companies are among its 2013-14 season lineup.
The Dance Center's 40th season will include a performance by the Arnie Zane Dance Company directed and choreographed by Bill T. Jones, a winner of the MacArthur "Genius" Award and two Tony Awards for choreography, according to a release.
In the spring, the center will host performances by the Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan, co-presented by the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University, and The Joffrey Ballet, also at the Auditorium Theatre.
The Dance Center, 1306 S. Michigan Ave., continues its kid-oriented family dance matinees and community engagement programs this season. Season and individual tickets go on sale July 8.
The season also features Susan Marshall & Co., Mordine & Co. Dance Theater, Same Planet Different World Dance Theatre, Peter Carpenter Performance Project, Khecari and The Humans, Campagnie Kafig, Rahael Xavier, and Reggie Wilson and First & Heel Performance Group.
