CHICAGO — A woman was sexually assaulted in her Garfield Ridge home near Midway Airport early Sunday, according to a community alert issued by police.
The 48-year-old woman was sleeping in her home in the 5200 block of South Nagle Avenue when she woke up to a man she didn't know sexually assaulting her about 3:10 a.m., according to the alert.
The suspect is described in the alert as tall, thin and wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt at the time.
Police asked anyone with information about the incident to call detectives at 312-747-8380.
