CHICAGO — A 15-year-old girl escaped kidnappers who covered her eyes and carried her to their car in Marquette Park last week, police said.

The incident occurred in the 6600 block of South California Avenue about 7:30 p.m. March 21 , according to police.

After the two kidnappers took the girl to their car, they drove her to a nearby alley where she was able to escape, police said.

One of the kidnappers is described as an African-American man who is 30 to 49 years old, six-foot tall and weighing 200 to 250 pounds, police said. He has a medium complexion, a beard and short black hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a brown coat with a white T-shirt.

The other suspect is described as an African-American man who is 25 to 30 years old, about 5-foot-7-inches to 5-foot-10-inches tall and weighing 140 to 170 pounds. He has a medium complexion, a shaved face and short black hair. At the time of the incident, he was said to be wearing a black Pelle Pelle coat.

The suspects were driving an old, poorly maintained four-door sedan with a black or dark green exterior and black leather seats, according to the description. Police are unsure of the make or model.
