Oh Art Celebrates Family Day at Zhou B Art Center

By Casey Cora | March 22, 2013 6:27am

BRIDGEPORT — A new artsy nonprofit is throwing a family fun fest on Saturday and everyone’s invited.

The Oh Art Foundation, headed by Injung Oh, is hosting the event, called "Art for People." The event will feature a free series of workshops at the Zhou B Art Center, 1029 W. 35th St.

Included in the day’s events are family yoga and tai chi lessons, demonstrations in drawing and working with clay, Photoshop instruction, workshops on the pitfalls of creative entrepreneurs and much more.

See the event website for a full list of activities.

Oh, of Bridgeport, said Saturday’s event is among the first for the nonprofit foundation, which will offer affordable arts and creative classes from a variety of instructors.

The nonprofit is headquartered in the Zhou B Art Center, which Oh described as a “playground for artists.” She said the family day is a way to merge that atmosphere and “bring education to the public."
