CHICAGO — A man who owes nearly $80,000 in past-due unpaid child support is being held on a $500 bond, officials said.
Louis Palomino, 55, was arrested after the Cook County Sheriff's Central Warrant Unit received a tip that he was living in an apartment in the 5600 block of South Kolin Avenue, a statement said.
A warrant for Palomino's arrest was issued in 1999, and he last paid child support in 2004. He owes $79,687 for three children, the sheriff's office said.
Palomino is due in court next on April 1 at the Daley Center.
