Logan Square Shooting Leaves Man Hospitalized

CHICAGO — A 31-year-old man was shot while sitting in a vehicle in Logan Square Friday morning, police said.

The shooting occurred about 4:30 a.m. in the 3500 block of West Shakespeare Avenue near West St. Louis Avenue, police said.

The man was in the vehicle when several shots were fired in his direction, police said.

He was shot in the left torso and someone drove him to St. Mary's Hospital, police said.

He was later transferred to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County where he was listed as "stable," police said.
