CHICAGO — The body of a Burbank man was pulled from Lake Michigan Friday afternoon, officials said.
Pis Mieczyslan, 74, of the 6500 block of West 82nd Street in southwest suburban Burbank, was found dead in the water near 95th Street, according to a spokesman for the Chicago Fire Department.
Officials received a call at 3:21 p.m., the fire department said. Mieczyslan was pronounced dead at Trinity Hospital about 4:40 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
A spokesman for the medical examiner's office said the death was a possible suicide.
The case was been transferred to the Chicago Police Department and is being treated as a death investigation, police said Friday.
