CHICAGO — Seven people were displaced and one was injured in a early morning house fire Friday in West Pullman, according to the fire department.

The fire began about 2:20 a.m. in a 2½-story home in the 12100 block of South Parnell Avenue.

Five adults and two children were displaced. One person, whose name or gender wasn't made available, was taken to Metro South Medical Center in Blue Island in fair-to-serious condition, the fire department said.

The fire was subdued shortly after 2:45 a.m., according to the fire department.
