Longman & Eagle Team to Open Chicken and Fish Joint in Logan Square

LOGAN SQUARE — The people behind the Michelin-starred Longman & Eagle have announced plans to open a chicken and fish joint in Logan Square this spring.

Parson's Chicken & Fish will feature executive chef Hunter Moore, formerly of Girl & the Goat, Lula Café and Nightwood, who will cook up "typical chicken and fish joint offerings" and offer a seasonal menu with "coastal, comfort, soul and street food influences," according to a news release from the restaurant team's publicist.

Max Wolod, of North Pond and XOCO, will serve as general manager and head up drinks at the new restaurant, which will be located at Armitage Avenue and Humboldt Boulevard.

Some may recognize the building from an upcoming episode of "Chicago Fire." The NBC drama recently shot a fire scene at a fake diner there.

The new project is the latest from the Land and Sea Dept., a development firm made up of Cody Hudson, Robert McAdams and Peter Toalson of Longman & Eagle, and Jon Martin of Mode Carpentry.
