RIVERDALE — A Chicago man was killed in an apparent drive-by shooting Sunday morning in south suburban Riverdale, officials said.
Preston Griffin, 22, of Roseland, was shot just before 4:30 a.m. Sunday, authorities said.
Riverdale police said someone in a white SUV fired shots at the car Griffin was riding in at 144th and Halsted streets, police said.
Authorities said Griffin was hit once in his back.
Griffin, of the 10800 block of South Forest Avenue, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and pronounced dead at 8:31 a.m.
