CHICAGO — A 30-year-old man was wounded in the left leg early in East Garfield Park early Saturday, police said.
Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman, said the man was standing on a sidewalk in the 3200 block of West Lake Street at about 3:30 a.m. when he heard gunshots.
When he realized he'd been shot, he was drive to Mt. Sinai Hospital by a friend.
No one is in custody, and Area North detectives are investigating, Estrada said.
