
CHICAGO — No one was in custody Tuesday morning in the slaying of a 24-year-old man who died from multiple gunshot wounds Monday afternoon, authorities said.
Michael Powell, of the 8500 block of South King Drive, was approached by a gunman about 4:54 p.m. Monday in the 9100 block of South Ada Street, authorities said.
The gunman shot Powell multiple times, police said.
He was found dead at the scene, and formally pronounced at 9:20 p.m. Monday at the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
