CHICAGO — A man who cops found brutally beaten on the South Side in December died Tuesday night, authorities said.

Police said they found the 29-year-old man lying on the ground in the 7200 block of South Bennett Avenue in South Shore about 3:15 a.m. Dec. 22.

The man, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Steven Cannon, suffered multiple injuries after several men attacked him, police said.
