CHICAGO — Two people were hospitalized late Sunday following a police chase that ended with a crash in Archer Heights, cops said.

Just before midnight, police saw a driver speeding near the corner of West 79th Street and South Ashland Avenue. Officers tried pulling the 27-year-old driver over, but he continued driving, police said.

Police followed the driver for more than seven miles before the driver crashed into two cars in the 4500 block of South Pulaski, police said.

The man, who was the sole occupant of the car, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, according Officer Amina Greer, a police spokeswoman.

A 20-year-old woman who was in one of the cars struck was also hospitalized. She was taken to Holy Cross Hospital also in good condition, Greer said.

No charges had been filed as of early Monday.
